I've asked a few people if they knew how to do this but none of them knew or replied, so I decided to make a post on the forum to see if anyone knows how to do this. I can only get 266 rings, I can't get 3 of the rings, if anyone can tell me the strat or glitch to get the last few then I would really appreciate it, even if it just points me in the right direction then I'd be very happy. Thanks :)

I'm also trying to work out how to get all the rings :) But I don't want to be outright told any of the answers, as then I won't feel I've truly earned them. However, if there are any tricks or glitches I need to know, that would be most helpful. If anyone wants to help me, how about starting with Star Light Act 2, which I've heard is the easiest?

and to Proxima, I've done acts 1 & 2 so far (I'm trying to do max rings for every level), act 2 is quicker but requires a glitch, act 1 is glitchless but very long - here's the only video that shows you all the rings obtained on act 2 http://youtu.be/qolu9MGMBuM (you may have to wait a few minutes till it's finished uploading, it has 15 minutes left when i wrote this post)

Thanks, both of you, but as I said, I don't want to "spoil" the solution for myself; I feel that would take away the fun and satisfaction from the challenge. I don't mind asking for help with glitches as I'm new to doing Sonic challenges, and having to find the glitches for myself seems like it might be too much, but I still want to work out for myself how to implement them to find a route.

I'll take a look at SL1 first, in that case :)

Ok I have an idea but I'm not sure it will work as I never pulled off this glitch. Do you know the start to the SL2 level wrap? Where you use the ramp to glitch into the floor? From looking at the map, you might be able to do this but I'm not sure if you can pull it off there or if the fan would stop you. Like I said I never tried this glitch so I can't be 100% sure if that will work, but it's the only thing I can think of :/

i managed 266 rings in a video, but i just cant generate enough speed to get past the fan and get the last few rings, but I'm not giving up - here's the video: http://youtu.be/BQSvG0429zg

Completely stuck on SL1. I'm near the beginning, and just cannot work out how you get up enough speed to go up the slope and get the long vertical line of 14 rings. I think I just suck at this game :(

Yea, I was stumped trying to sort these ring attacks out.

I'll give this another go and hopefully get some help from the fans this time.  Thanks for the video there of 266 and good luck getting the rest!
